CFA & THE SOCIETY

Giving education is making a good generation, a fearless, straightforward, self respected human race around the world. Building a nation can do so only transforming the youth to higher level of education. A Chinese proverb quote.. "Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime." Education gives self confidence.

What is Child Sponsorship?

Child sponsorship is one of the best ways to give children better lives and futures. Sponsoring a child through CFA is one of the most effective, inspiring and rewarding ways to help children. You’ll be doing much more than helping to meet children's basic needs – you’ll be helping to equip them for life. By bringing about lasting change in your sponsored child’s community, you’ll also be improving the lives of many other vulnerable children.

ABOUT CFA

CFA is a platform that enables you as an individual, CSR person, corporate volunteer to make a notable and effective difference in community development by partnering with deserving Charity NGO organizations.

OUR VISION

CFA envisages to create a consortium of deserving charity Non Government Organizations, Institutions & Individuals and bring them on a common platform. The platform would drive Social Reforms and Community Development whilst creating impact and awareness about the various social causes that delve deep in our society.

Our Promises to Children

CFA promises that we will work along with children, their parents and communities to ensure that

  • Children are educated
  • Children are healthy and well-nourished
  • Children are aware of their basic rights
  • Children participate in their own development

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The girl child is unwelcome in most parts of our country. In many instances, she is prevented from being born and even if she manages to survive, there are several barriers that block her path to a life of equal opportunity. Today, there are millions of little girls in India who do not get proper healthcare, nutrition or education and who are vulnerable to exploitation. YOU can change this!

As per the census of Indian population, 99 million children have dropped out of school. There are 10.13 million child laborers between 5-14 years in India. Over the last 10 years crimes against children has increased 5 times.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY:

CFA is committed to high standards of accountability and transparency. The board of CFA pursues the highest standards through independent internal audit, statutory audit by reputed audit firm, robust design-based monitoring and periodic peer reviews.

At the grassroots, our partnership approach in working with community-based organisations ensures we are accountable, committed and responsive to children and their communities. It has always been CFA’s endeavor to convey a public image conforming to reality, and always to speak and act honestly. With grace of God, we intend continually to pursue excellence beyond compliance in all aspects of our work - governance, management, operations and administration.

CFA is also recognized by the Central Ministry, Government of India and receiving grant for the past one decade for various cultural activities.

OUR PERFORMANCE

Chennai Fine Arts is a not for profit organization promoting classical carnatic music for the past fifteen years. We have been organizing a number of concerts every year. Some of our concerts are based on select themes which focus on rare composers and compositions, exclusive instrumental music and encouraging young talents. We have also brought out ten publications on music. As an initiative to take music to the underprivileged children from rural areas, we organize a workshop every summer at Puducherry. Those being our core activities, we also focus on a few social activities. Our main interest is on the education sector. We choose children from the economically weaker section who cannot afford normal schooling and support them. We take care of their educational needs by means of paying their tuition fee and offering them financial support to buy books and other necessities. Complete support is extended until the child graduates and has a sustainable life of its own. The following is the list of students under our support.
